Keshavarz (Persian: كشاورز), also Romanized as Keshāvarz; also known as Kashāvar,[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Keshavarz District of Shahin Dezh County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Keshavarz Rural District.[5] Keshavarz is on the Zarrineh River. The city is populated by Azerbaijanians and Kurds.[6]

At the 2006 census, its population was 3,538 in 940 households.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 3,904 people in 1,154 households.[8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,138 people in 1,248 households.[2]
