Klese Haas (born 2 March 2002) is an Australian born Samoan/Swiss/Filipino professional rugby league footballer who plays as a second-row forward for the Gold Coast Titans in the National Rugby League (NRL).

Background[edit]

Haas's brother Payne Haas, plays for the Brisbane Broncos. He's the nephew of former Newcastle forward Mark Taufua. Haas moved to Gold Coast, Queensland, at 10 years old meaning he's eligible for both states comes after he was born in Sydney, New South Wales but moved to Gold Coast, Queensland at the age of 10 in State of Origin.[2] Haas played his junior rugby league for Nerang Roosters and attended Keebra Park State High School.[3]

Playing career[edit]

In round 24 of the 2022 NRL season, Haas made his first grade debut for the Gold Coast against the Newcastle Knights.[citation needed] Haas played a total of 15 games for the Gold Coast in the 2023 NRL season as the club finished 14th on the table.[4]
