Lobos 1707 is a Mexican tequila and mezcal company. The tequila was founded by Diego Osorio and Mally Nognum in 2020. The company produces many different kinds of tequila . Some names of these beverages include Lobos 1707 Tequila, Extra Añejo, Reposado, Joven and Lobos 1707 Mezcal Artesanal.[1] The Spanish word for "wolf" was used to name Lobos 1707. Then, the year that Osorio's ancestor allegedly developed the recipe, 1707, was added at the end of the name. Thus, creating the name Lobos 1707. Osorio's ancestors triumphantly state that the tequila is dedicated to "celebrating the strength of the pack."

Actor, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Diego Osorio, launched Lobos 1707 Tequila in aim to recreate a process inspired by the 16th century voyages of his ancestor with the same name. It resulted in bringing Spanish oak barrels filled with Mexican agave liquor back to Spain.[1] It was launched on November 18, 2020 in New York, California, and Florida with Mally Nognum serving as CEO.[2]
Notably, basketball player LeBron James was an early investor in the company.[3] He met Osorio through mutual friend and financial advisor Paul Wachter.[4]
On March 19, 2021, Lobos 1707 announces their expansion into the Canadian market, with sales through the Liquor Control Board of Ontario.[5]

Lobos 1707 Tequila and Mezcal are cultivated from 100% blue weber agave and then finished in Pedro Ximénez wine barrels, using the Solera method before bottling.[2] Product design includes the Osorio Family Coat of Arms and the Agave Wind Rose Compass to represent the union of Spanish and Mexican cultures.[6]

- Tequila, Reposado: Lobos 1707 Tequila, Reposado rests for over six months in American white oak barrels. The liquid is blended with Lobos 1707 Tequila, Extra Añejo.[7]
- Tequila, Extra Añejo: Lobos 1707 Tequila, Extra Anejo is aged for three years in American white oak.[7]
- Mezcal Artesanal: Lobos 1707 Mezcal is made with 100% espadín agave which has been roasted in an open fire pit.[7]
