Meadow Oaks is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Pasco County, Florida, United States.[5] Located north of Florida State Road 52 inland from Hudson,[6] it is within the Tampa–St. Petersburg–Clearwater Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA)[7] and the Southwest Florida Water Management District.

The community was first planned in 1983 to include homes and eponymous golf course,[8] which was later expanded.[9][10] The clubhouse was destroyed by fire in 1995.[11] The community continued to grow into the 2000s,[12][13][14] partly on land that had once been a cattle ranch, to have eight 'villages'.[15]

Meadow Oaks become a CDP (43785)[16] in 2010[17] and as of the 2010 census its population was 2,442[2] It had grown to 2,842 by the 2020 census.[1]

Geography[edit]

Meadow Oaks is considered an 'inland' or 'landside' Pasco County community.[6][18] According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Meadow Oaks CDP has an area of 1.656 square miles (4.29 km2); 1.651 square miles (4.28 km2) of its area is land, and 0.005 square miles (0.013 km2) is water.[2] Land-use planning follows the concepts of MPUD zoning.[19][20]

Meadow Oaks is within Florida's 12th U.S.congressional district,[21] Florida Senate 16th district, and Florida House District 37.[6]
