Propose[edit]

Should use the following phrase instead,

Save and publish page

For the editor to aware that the page will be published immediately. Especially it is published under GFDL and can't be revoked, forever, after it is published. -- Ans 08:26, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Has there been any local discussion about this change? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:55, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Think the answer is no, so have opened discussion at Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals)#Save page -> Publish. Disabling request here pending consensus — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:18, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Needs to be renamed to Publish changes..... meta:Editing/Publish Moxy (talk) 01:10, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done @Moxy: this is the "SAVE" message, there is a different publish message (MediaWiki:Publishpage) that should be getting called when needed now. If you have found a specific spot where this message is actually being displayed, please provide details as to exactly where and how you are seeing it. Thank you, — xaosflux Talk 01:39, 18 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
