Special:Statistics must be written with "user-friendly" and easy to understand terms as it is linked at the top of Main Page.

Please could you improve consistency in Special:Statistics, by replacing: "Users who have performed an action in the last $1 days" by "Users who have made page edits in the last $1 days"

I don't have access to stats but I presume the overwhelming majority of actions are page edits + "page edits" greatly improves understanding by Wikipedia visitors + it improves consistency with: "Page edits since Wikipedia was set up".

Please could you improve consistency between Main Page (where people just clicked on "6,376,061 articles in English" at the top of the page) and Special:Statistics, by replacing: "Content pages" by "Encyclopedia articles and administrative pages", please don't place "Articles": brevity is not always a virtue (excepted in specific cases: software user interface for example), clarity is more useful than brevity for readers (even more for non-native English speakers) and for automatic translation software (as it provides them with more context: often a single word can have different meanings).

Please could you improve readability in Special:Statistics, by replacing: "(All pages in the wiki, including talk pages, redirects, etc.)" by "(All pages in the wiki)" For Wikipedia visitors: "including talk pages, redirects, etc." is too cryptic (and "etc." is too "vague" for non-specialists).

"Average edits per page": complete nonsense! The Wikipedia visitors are interested with the average edits of Encyclopedia articles and administrative pages and they all have had more than 19 edits (unless those created today maybe: WP:Recent additions). Of course redirect pages may not have had 19 edits but they are not "content". I would suggest to delete immediately this entry as it doesn't provide reliable stats: misuse of statistics. These kinds of figures are only meant for engineers and IT directors to anticipate needs of resources (hardware, storage...). Only them can make a good interpretation taking into accounts other indicators in their dashboards, as they have the technical knowledge and access to historical data to compute a trend! — Antoine Legrand (talk) 17:00, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done @Antoine Legrand: I think you have multiple message confused with this one. Regarding this page, it is literally about any action, not just edit actions - so excluding all other actions would make this less accurate. I suggest you gather all the messages you are interested in updating from Special:Statistics (See the list of everything here), make a mock up of all your changes on some page (perhaps Wikipedia talk:Statistics) and link your discussion in from WP:VPR. Once there is a consensus for the changes all of the edits can be made at once. If you have found anything where the description is factually inaccurate or just very confusing in general though - you could open a ticket at phabricator (WP:BUG), as that will be able to change the default value for these interface messages as used by anyone that uses mediawiki software.
