Article regarding Duterte[edit]

I would like to get a consensus regarding the listed article regarding R. Duterte. User 98.167.185.72 appears to want to describe the event as concentrating children in camps, where as the source makes no claims of this. Is it not policy to edit events as they are described in the source material? AuguMaugu (talk) 07:31, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in agreement here after reading through the article, the topic of concentration camps is not approached at all within that I could find. Now hopefully any further modifications can come with discussion, explanatory comments, additional citations, or some other reasoning to be understood with. I agree that the source doesn't touch on "concentrating" as such, only on lowering the age of criminal responsibility. A similar issue was discussed last year at Portal talk:Current events/2015 November 17. The conclusion there was that Wording should not use "contentrating" or suggest "concentration camps" -- John of Reading (talk) 12:38, 8 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@2600:8800:ff04:c00:912:6d32:634d:94a0 Re your edit summary - no, I make no claim of being able to tell sockpuppets from other editors, but the RFC was widely advertised and was closed by an experienced administrator. -- John of Reading (talk) 13:33, 8 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Calling someone a sockpuppet is just being mean... Just as there is no way to easily tell, there isn't any easy way for me to disprove the accusation or defend myself either. This is the only account I've used and the only one I want to use. I want to be able to maintain a persistent identity both for my own convenience and to demonstrate the ways I am willing and able to help. I don't know if saying any of this will help at all though.
