Recommendations to improve page to featured portal status

List includes recommendations with replies/status.

• Rotate articles and pictures on monthly/fortnightly basis.
  • No change. Because the Selected article, Selected picture and Selected breed all use a randomized presentation design, item rotation is automatic and all items always are in play. Consequently, rotation timetables are not necessary. Readers also can refresh the items displayed by clicking the Show another article, picture, breed link below the introduction. The redundant link at the bottom of the page was removed. A randomized version for DYK is in the works.
• Add archives for articles, pictures, breeds and DYK.
  • Done. Added "Archive/Nominations" link to all recommended management pages.
• Add links for additional recommended articles, pictures, breeds and DYK.

  • Done. Edit links for rotated content modified to go directly to subpage.
• Move purge link to affected sections area.
  • Done. Moved to background above Selected article section.
• Add Related portals section.
  • Done. Added section with Science, Biology, Cats.
• Have multiple maintainers of portal.
  • In place. WikiProject Dogs and WikiProject Dog breeds support this portal as needed.
• Reduce picture size and/or move picture for 800X600 displays.
  • Done. Moved Selected picture to wider column.
• Add {{Tasks}} template.
  • Done. Example requests, stubs, and key tasks from project included.
• Add DYK nomination criteria.
  • Done. Added general guidelines for nominations, loosely based on Wikipedia:Did you know.
