There are no information about some things said in the portal on the pornography article; for example: in the portal says "[...]known as Pornography. This has become a multitrillion dollar industry. Ninety-nine percent of the world's population has been exposed to pornography[...]" but there is nothing about these information on the article supposedly with more information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.26.19.91 (talk) 17:33, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

i'm a bit confused.. why are there external links to random entries mentioned in that list? and what is 'selected internet porn' anyway? it would seem those links are somewhat gratuitous. Boombaard (talk) 11:23, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiprojects[edit]

why are there links to pornography websites in the 'wikiprojects' section? if it's 'normal' to link to what i would guess to be for profit websites, why isn't the list more exhaustive? it seems weird, but if i look back at the history the links have been there for months already. Random article selector[edit]

I have added a random article selector. The code looks like this:

{{Random portal component|max=1|header=Featured article|footer=More articles...|subpage=Featured article}}

This will randomly select one article to be displayed on the main page from the n possible articles stored on the Portal:Pornography/Featured article list. The "max" attribute will determine the first n articles to choose from. This will allow anyone to add content and it will rotate automatically on each visit. I have done the same to the Portal:Pornography/Featured picture and Portal:Pornography/Featured erotica boxes. Arundhati lejeune 15:14, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kill the spam[edit]

Can this please be seriously looked at? There is a box on the page which a used to say "Pornography News". It's been reworked by an IP to Pornography Network, and for a LONG time now the transcluded template for the network box has just been a list of random porn sites added by IPs. Worryingly, it doesn't get edited much except when an editor sees it and tries to revert to an earlier, less controversial, and less spammy state. Then within a day, an IP pops up and turns it back into a list of porn sites, apparently miffed about losing the traffic. I just don't understand why a portal on pornography is so unwatched, so vacant, so little on the talk page and so unprotected.

As far as I can see that box has never been legitimately useful for an encyclopaedia and needs to be removed entirely. But since this is a whole portal, I don't want to just fix it without getting some more opinions.

Additionally, the portal needs to be either more closely watched, including all templates, or semi-protected with the cascading option. • Anakin (contribscomplaints) 21:00, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Same for the Portal:Pornography/Wikiprojects template. *sigh* • Anakin (contribscomplaints) 21:22, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I'm just going to fix it myself, fix the Wikiprojects template and remove the other box. So much for trying to "get consensus". • Anakin (contribscomplaints) 01:24, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Trillion or Billion?[edit]

That multi trillion dollar figure sounds like way too much. In comparison, the world's GDP is about US$50 trillion. Unless there is a citation it seems reasonable to change it. Any objections? - Frandzi (talk) 09:12, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ronisparadise[edit]

I hope to know about Roni of ronisparadise.com but it's not exist. Why Katsuni is in but Roni is not? Please let me know the reason. --Skinamono9 (talk) 05:26, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Featured Picture is fixed[edit]

For some reason, a number of entries in the Featured Photo list were empty, some because an image had not been added and some because images had been removed (for one reason or another). This resulted in no image sometimes appearing on the main portal page. This has been fixed by adding some images from Wikipedia Commons. - Tim1965 (talk) 13:18, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request for help writing new article[edit]

I saw in ANI that there is a male article. There is not a female article but I started it here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_female_performers_in_lesbian_porn_films I don't know how to write such an article Suomi Finland 2009 (talk) 18:47, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit]

Which of the two categories is incorrectly named: Jayden Jaymes or Jayden James? --High Contrast (talk) 06:50, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Given that the EN article has her as Jaymes, as well as IAFD and AVN, I'd say the first is the proper one. I'll clean that up. Tabercil (talk) 15:37, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Possible new section[edit]

After reading over many of the articles, I thought it may be benificial to the public to include (on pornographic actors/actresses pages) their start/begin date or year in porn, and their end date. I know many actors/actresses frequently come out of retirement, but you can include that as well. Only public retirements, of course, not "breaks" from filming for a couple months. For instance, Eva Angelina began her porn career in 2003 at the age of 18, but officially retired in 2010. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.254.40.129 (talk) 13:20, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal for new category: sexuality[edit]

I propose adding a new category to the list of categories called pornography by sexuality or something of the like, which would link to article groups that deal with different expressions of sexuality featured in porn. I would be keen to hear thoughts on this proposal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GrassHopHer (talkcontribs) 14:22, 17 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
