Guidelines[edit]

The first section (column) is for articles that have gained "Featured Article" status, and have significant (mid to top importance) connection to the Bay Area. this list is permanent, except for adding new FA articles, and the last article, which is a rotating Featured List. If you see an article that makes the Featured Article status at the Wikipedia:WikiProject California/San Francisco Bay Area task force, or if you help bring an article up to FA status, please add it!

The second section (column) is for articles of at least "C" class, which have at least mid importance to the San Francisco Bay Area. These articles may be replaced with new ones as appropriate, with none being permanent.

I made up all these rules on my own (the portal was moribund for over 4 years until i came along), so as no one owns any pages on WP, feel free to violate them in any way shape or form you prefer. If your ideas are better than mine, i will humbly defer.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 09:05, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I found TWO new featured articles which had never been listed at the SFBA wikiproject, which i have added to the left column as PERMANENT examples of prize articles on the Bay Area. I have been going through as many SFBA categorized articles as i can stand to look at, to add the project template, to be sure they show up at WP:SFBA. to coin a phrase, there's gold in them thar articles!.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 06:16, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I found another 2 articles of FA status in Wikiproject United States: Flower drum song (added), and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, which i have not yet added. not sure if it really should be in the portal.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 20:03, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

found another, folding@home. I have decided to NOT rotate column 2, as its too much damn work. ill just add new ones as i see fit. anyone else can of course decide to swap out old and put in new, if they really think keeping the list at a fixed length with rotating articles is good. other portals keep full lists of all FA, GA, A, B articles, so we dont have to rotate here.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 21:48, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
