Conversion to Museum[edit]

Due to the decline in the Christian population in Diu ever since the Invasion of 1961, the use this church building fell out of use.[2] It functioned as an Orphanage, Home for the Aged, Police Station before finally becoming a museum in 1992. Though secularized, the building is still owned by the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman.
