Fall of Au Lac[edit]

Au Lac had already fell in 208 BC or 207 BC. Why does the article say it was conquered in 180 BC? Some typo or mistake? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.234.34.132 (talk) 21:33, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It seems the 180 BC date specified according to Keith Weller Taylor's The Birth of Vietnam. I actually don't know where the 208-207 BC date comes from. yellowtailshark (talk) 02:46, 27 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actual location[edit]

What was the actual location of this nation? Badagnani (talk) 20:23, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It comprised all of Northern Vietnam(Lac Viet) and small parts of modern day western Guangxi(Au Viet). Au Viet had its capital in Cao Bang Province(Northeastern Vietnam). Au Lac(Au Viet and Au Lac) had it's capital in Co Loa in Northern Vietnam(20k west of Ha Noi.Sea888 (talk) 08:24, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting change of title from Âu Lạc to Au Lac[edit]

This is an english encylopeadia. Why is the title using diactrics in Vietnamese quoc ngu Âu Lạc? Seems like many Vietnamese History articles have this problem.Sea888 (talk) 08:12, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is a question that should be posed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Vietnam. Badagnani (talk) 09:36, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tay Au /tày are not ethnic Kinh (Vietnamese)[edit]

Tay Au were nomadic Tai/Krai and Turkic combined. They are not ethnic Lạc Việt. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:204:E37F:FFF1:F6:D477:E0:C70E (talk) 03:27, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The maps are all wrong![edit]

Do you know anything about Chinese history? The borders of Qin, Zhao, Yan, Qi, Wei, Han, and Chu are completely wrong! You didn't even paint him the birthplace of the Qin State! And India, when did they enter the Brahmaputra Basin? I give you a reference, please change the map immediately or delete the wrong map, please stop misleading others!时空地图 | 全历史 (allhistory.com) 李双能 (talk) 15:58, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
