Keiser Wilhelms Gate[edit]

I see there's a Keiser Wilhelms Gate in Ålesund, and the #Reconstruction suggests why. It would be good if there was a reference explaining explicitly the circumstances in which it was named after Wilhelm (presumably there would be some newspaper story saying the town council made the change, and when). Equally, it would be interesting to know if there was any proposal to rename it after WW2, when presumably things German wouldn't be especially popular in post-occupation Norway. -- Finlay McWalter··–·Talk 20:56, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
