Comparison to Elizabeth I's plans[edit]

It merits mentioning in this article the similarity Eire Nua's structure was to Elizabeth I's provincial presidencies for Ireland. Albeit the Ulster one was never created due to Hugh O'Neill's opposition. Then again the whole provincial structure being used here was created by Elizabeth and her successor James.
