Ferdinand Foch[edit]

I would like to assume that this island is named after Ferdinand Foch but I have been unable to find a web reference to verify it. The only mention of the name's origin is on the German language Wikipedia, but there is no citation to support the claim. If anyone could find a valid source I would appreciate it!
