LOL so Roomster is not based on VW, it is just based on Octavia and Fabia, which are based on VW.

I've corrected that comment - it is actually based on the Golf Mk4 PQ34 platform, albeit with some modification. 78.32.143.113 (talk) 17:28, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bicycle carriage[edit]

"With the rear seats removed, the Roomster's luggage compartment has enough room to carry a bicycle"

It can be done, but not if you try to combine the optional internal bike carrier (which is supposed to hold two bikes in an upright position) and a front-seat passenger. Unless said passenger has no lower legs. That was the thick end of two hundred quid wasted... Mr Larrington (talk) 14:05, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not the first VAG Skoda[edit]

"Styled by Thomas Ingenlath and Peter Wouda, the Roomster premiered at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show) as the first car marketed after Volkswagen Group's takeover of Skoda, sharing the A4 (PQ34) platform and components with the second generation Škoda Fabia."

It is very difficult to read this sentence in a way that doesn't mean that it was the first car brought to market by Skoda after being taken over by VAG, which is of course not true, since that was the Felicia more than a decade earlier. Looking at the talk page it's not the first time that wording to this effect has been featured in the article. Should be improved but maybe I'm misunderstanding the sentence, but it isn't the first Skoda on PQ34 either, so I'm not able to make much sense of the intended meaning. 77.171.57.161 (talk) 15:42, 16 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
