Official Name[edit]

In 1949 two races which could be called the French Grand Prix were held. The Grand Prix de l'ACF was actually held as a sports car race at Comminges on the 7th of August (see David Hodges "The French Grand Prix" - 1966). This race was called the "Grand Prix de France", and the edition number comes from both sources listed at the bottom of the article. A7V2 (talk) 02:47, 22 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
