Divisions[edit]

How the Lakers and Nationals be called the Conference champions when the NBA did not use the term conferences unitl 1970. Also the Lakers played in the Central division that season. This was the one season where the NBA had 3 division East, Central and West. Smith03 (talk) 22:03, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

East, Central, West?[edit]

The three division playoff brackets displayed in section 1 /Bracket/ have been ordered East, Central, West but the same three division have been ordered West, East, Central within sections 3 /Division Semifinals/ and 4 /Division Finals/.

That mismatch is odd. Yet I didn't change it, and I expanded the /Bracket/ preface in a way that matches the ECW order of bracket diagrams in that section.

Neighboring season articles --three BAA and 50/51 NBA-- display the division standings East, West (and 1949–50 NBA season similarly displays E-C-W). Neighboring Playoffs articles --48/49 BAA and 50/51 NBA-- are both internally consistent, with section 1 /Bracket/ that displays West, East followed by sec 2 /West/ and sec 3 /East/.
