Untitled[edit]

It seems that the release is actually just called "1965" (see images of the vinyl labels here: http://www.discogs.com/Pink-Floyd-1965-Their-First-Recordings/release/7780256). Also, it is not really an EP, but a double single (two 7" records, both with a double B side). 162.156.25.166 (talk) 06:31, 30 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Though Facebook is not a reliable source, it is worth noting, based on this new post on band's official page, that:

The format - two 7" singles
The title they give is "Pink Floyd 1965 – Their First Recordings"
The post is also worth for mentioning that the tracks will be available in some physical form towards the end of next year.

- This came out on vinyl as a part of the Record Store Day in the UK, it is a completely legit release (...and, sadly, quite limited...). "Their First Recordings" only appears on that front sticker - it could be just an ad / explanation, and not a part of the actual record title. 137.82.108.154 (talk) 17:23, 30 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not a Record Store Day release.[edit]

Brain Damage are correct that this isn't a Record Store Day release. Record Store Day is a once-a-year event and in 2015 it took place on April 18th. In the US there is a smaller Black Friday event which took place on November 27th. Black Friday isn't well recognised in the UK resulting in an even smaller Black Friday event there. The Pink Floyd official Website says:

To mark 50 years since the tracks were recorded, Pink Floyd have released a limited edition set of two 7" singles, containing the band's first recordings. Entitled Pink Floyd 1965 – Their First Recordings, the songs include Syd Barrett compositions Lucy Leave, Double O Bo, Remember Me, and Butterfly, coupled with Roger Waters' Walk With Me Sydney, and I'm A King Bee by Slim Harpo. The band lineup was the original quartet of Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright, augmented by Rado Klose on guitar, and, on Walk With Me Sydney, Juliette Gale on backing vocals.
The package includes two 45rpm 7" singles contained in a gatefold sleeve designed by Peter Curzon of StormStudios, based on Hipgnosis Creative Director Aubrey Powell's photograph of a light projection by Peter Wynne-Wilson.
The audio was mastered from the original mono analogue tapes by Andy Jackson of Tube Mastering and Ray Staff of AIR Studios.

Harmonica player?[edit]

Is there information about who plays the harmonica on I'm a King Bee? --Sponsianus (talk) 19:46, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would put my money on it being Klose on the harmonica. Reading the biography Dark Globe by Julian Palacios it describes Klose as a Harmonica player and you can only hear the one guitar on that track.
