Disambiguation[edit]

I've been a bit bold, but I've been working on the 1973 Grand Prix and the article looks rather clumsy already - and that's before I've reached the halfway point. This decision will make more sense in the long run when the two disambiguated articles - and future articles in the series - are completed. Totalinarian (talk) 18:07, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:CONCEPTDAB. Among other things, it says "Where the primary topic of a term is a general topic that can be divided into subtopics, such as chronologically (e.g., History of France) or geographically (e.g., Rugby union in the British Isles), the unqualified title should contain an article about the general topic rather than a disambiguation page." In other words, a topic does not become "ambiguous" just because it can be divided into two or more subtopics. You can split the article into separate parts for organizational purposes, but please don't call it "disambiguation" when you do so. What remains at the original title should be a list or overview article. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 10:52, 13 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
