Discussion[edit]

I watched the 98 250cc Argentina Race Highlights on MotoGP.com and I think Rossi was well ahead of Capirossi and Harada on the last lap before their collision. Also, the points at the end of the season are slightly different. http://www.motogp.com/en/Results+Statistics/1998.

So, according to the MotoGP.com records the points just before the title race were Capirossi 204 (He finished the season with 224 according to the website) Harada 200 Rossi 176

So, if Harada had finished the Argentine race in 2nd (+20 Points) while Capirossi was 3rd (+16 Points) they would have tied in the points and Harada would have been given the Championship due to having 5 wins to Capirossi's 2.

I watched the collision about a dozen times trying to figure out for myself if it was intentional or not, and to me it looks just like a reckless pass on Capirossi's part and not like he really intended to run Harada off the track. Good MotoGP history.

Table adjustment[edit]

Please remove either flag or country column. Double redundancy. --Falcadore (talk) 07:30, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bike[edit]

There is a glaring omission of the type of race bikes used such as Honda NSR500 and Yamaha YZR500. I will add them if no one else does.Orsoni (talk) 14:30, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
