"unable to challenge Van Barneveld during the game" not really, he challenged him, but not very well, re-word.
"when the referee called for a sudden death " it sounds like the ref just did this, perhaps "referee confirmed a sudden death" or something, he was just following the rules, right?
Check all image captions, if they're complete sentences, add a full stop.
"9 Dart Checkout" why the caps?
"Finalists (x2)" de-cap and use multiplication sign.
