Editing Project[edit]

Howdy! I will be editing this article as part of a student project. Before doing so, I would like to outline what I plan to work on:

Add “Attendance” and “Radio in the United States" section to Race Details
Rework the lead to include important information like the race winner
Add citations to the best of my ability
Reword the race section appropriately
Reformat the results section into qualifying and race results. I will also include a “Standings After the Race” section if possible considering other highly rated NASCAR articles have this. It situates the event in my opinion.

I plan to draft in my user sandbox, so feel free to check that out. Any major work I plan on doing I will outline on here first. Looking forward to working with you all Jordankelseyh (talk) 17:17, 1 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Update: If there is not any objection, I plan to remove the citation needed and tone tag for this article. Apart from the fact that it could benefit from more information, I do not believe these apply anymore.

As far as improving the article in the future, it could benefit from the addition of a post-race commentary section (I could not find enough information to justify making one for the time being) and from adding images/more detail throughout (Wikimedia Commons). I made changes using the 2007 Coca-Cola 600, a WikiNASCAR FA, as my guide and I believe this will be useful for anyone looking to expand this article in the future.
