Sortable roster[edit]

FYI – I made the roster a sortable table. In order to make names sort by last name, make class sort in the expected way, and make heights sort the expected way, I added expressions like the following:

  • <span style="display:none">x</span>
  • For names, I replace “x” with the players last name.
  • For heights, I replaced “x” with zero, and used it for all inch values under 10.
  • For class, I replaced x with 1-4, as expected. I didn’t worry about distinguishing redshirt freshman form freshman, this approach will list redshirt freshman after freshman, as seems appropriate. It wouldn’t work for sophs, if that troubles someone they can adjust accordingly.

The upside is that the table is now sortable, the downside is that if the table is not complete or in error, someone adding to it might not see exactly what to do. This note should help.--SPhilbrickT 17:29, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WP:LDR citation style[edit]

I decided to add some material and reference it using the WP:LDR citation style. In order to reduce confusion, I converted existing references to LDR style, so all are in the same style. Any questions, please ask.--SPhilbrickT 18:06, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bolding convention[edit]

Because some readers may be interested in looking for the results against a particular opponent, I adopted the convention of bolding the opponent name. The first time I use a school name, I wikify it, but in some cases (e.g. WBCA Classic), the first mention of the name is not the time it is mentioned as a UConn opponent, so the first usage is wikilinked, and the first mention as an opponent is in bold. I considered making a subsection for each opponent, but I thought that was over sectioning.SPhilbrickT 11:43, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
