I have removed the Wiki link for Greg Warner as the resulting page refers to a fictional character of the same name in a US TV show and therefore highly unlikely to be the same person. --Wintonian (talk) 02:31, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Referees[edit]

Whoever is adding referees to the match results, please stop doing so; this is not notable information, hardly any of them are linked to existing articles, and no other articles of this kind (to my knowledge) add referees. If you disagree with me, please open this for vote between editors, if there are enough to care, on this talk page. Thank you. Andre666 (talk) 23:59, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your edit - this information has been in the article since the early part of the season. No-one "is adding referees to the match results" as you put it. Take a look at the season articles for the top Premiership clubs which generally include the referees. Just because there are a lot of redlinks is no reason to remove them. If you would like to point me to said "top Premiership clubs" articles with referees, that would be kind, as I can not seem to find them. Please look at this issue all-round; the referees at this level of football is not notable information for an article of this kind – what does it possibly add? Plus yes, the redlinks are important, as convention on WP is to avoid redlinks and to do so would be to remove this non-notable, cluttering, non-aesthetically pleasing information.
