Can someone fix the kits? I can't work out how to do it.

Sources[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 2009 Football League Championship play-off Final's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "soccerway":

  • From Martin Paterson: 2009 Football League Championship play-off final at Soccerway
  • From Brian Howard (footballer): "Brian Howard". Soccerway. Perform Group. Retrieved 16 January 2014.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 19:26, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Lead[edit]

  • "The top two teams of the 2008–09 Football League Championship season gained automatic promotion to the Premier League, while the teams placed from third to sixth place" - repetition of the word "teams" in the same sentence
Done. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 20:10, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Jamie Ward became the first player ever to be sent off in a play-off final, while his teammate Lee Hendrie was also sent off after the final whistle." - try to avoid repetition of the phrase "sent off" in the same sentence
