Merge[edit]

After a discussion in the WikiFootball project, it has been suggested that there should be 1 article that covers this league's season, regardless of the fact that there is two tournaments (similar to Primera División Argentina 2008–09). This is primarily due to the fact that information, such as an aggregate or relegation standing, would be in one tournament's article but is season-long information. I Support a merge. Furthermore, the year article (i.e., 2009 in Paraguayan football) should contain just the basic information in respects to the leagues (winners, teams relegated), and not tables and results. I have re-directed this article with Torneo Apertura 2009 (Paraguay) and I hope that doesn't create any problems. I did it to keep name consistency with other articles from Paraguayan football such as Torneo Apertura 2008 (Paraguay), Torneo Clausura 2008 (Paraguay), etc. which contained detailed information about each tournament. It created problems. There current consensus on the WikiFootball project is to have one article per season in the Apertura/Clausura leagues, unless there is enough information to merit a separate article (think information space) for the tournaments... but even with an article for each tournament, there would still be an article for the league's season. This tournament, so far, does not merit it's own article, and it looks like it will not. Not only that, the previous version had templates in place that are widely used in football leagues season for constancy and to facilitate use... so please put those back.
