the table and everything[edit]

WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is not a good argument for retention. And I would point out that the tables in question have a far more prominent source (the South African government) than yours do. HrafnTalkStalk(P) 15:42, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disproportionate coverage[edit]

Material in 'Matches' section that is NOT IN THE CITED SOURCE![edit]

I would point out that the sole cited source ONLY lists the draw. It:

  • DOES NOT list individual fixtures
  • DOES NOT list venues
  • DOES NOT list dates and times.

So including this information is IN GROSS VIOLATION of WP:V. It has therefore been removed.

But even if it DID list such, an article that is purely or mostly based upon such information IS NOT ENCYCLOPAEDIC -- see WP:IINFO quote above. HrafnTalkStalk(P) 11:06, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An article is meant to rely primarily on third-party secondary sources -- not the primary source of the topic's own website. If you can't find "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject", and all that you have with any depth is "the official site has the list of matches with opponents, dates, time, and venue...", then the topic is not notable. Would it be better in a list and without "Participated" in the subsection title?

Group stage[edit]

Would it be better to have the group stage section look like UEFA Champions League 2007–08#Group Stage#Group A? I'm comparing format styles and noting more.
