RSL Dallas[edit]

I guarantee, no matter what, one of RSL or Dallas will make the CCL next year. Only one team can qualify from the east as MLS CUP runners up/champions. The other 3 teams will come from the west. If LA, or Seattle qualifies to MLS Cup, RSL qualifies as second place. If RSL qualifies to MLS Cup, then they will still qualify to the CCL.

If Dallas qualifies for MLS Cup, they will qualify in RSL's place.

Please do not make the edit again. Nlsanand (talk) 02:24, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • If this information is all true, it needs to be cited. What must be cited is the replacement scenario for the MLS Cup final loser if that team is already qualified for the group stage. There must be some regulation cited saying that the team with the second-best regular season point total gets that preliminary round spot. The explanation, in any event, needs to be very much clarified. Stsharp413 (talk) 16:47, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Listing four teams in the slot for Costa Rica is absolute overkill. The same goes for the Mexican slots. Please let the tournaments play out and fill in the spots as the qualified teams are known. 68.209.43.98 (talk) 03:54, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Four teams for one slot is overkill, but not for Mexico. In taht case it's two teams for one spot and two teams for another. Typically on other sites, we've inputted them when it gets to two teams. I am going to revert on that basis (but not for Costa Rica. Nlsanand (talk) 04:19, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Qualification Method[edit]

I think it would be wise to put a fourth column denoting in which round a certain team will qualify, rather than just leave it to the reader to figure out. Of course, we won't know until the end of the spring tournaments for many nations which side will get the group stage berth. Just searching for feedback. Repeated vandalism of group winners[edit]

There has been repeated vandalism over the last few days by several different IP numbers, to show that Morelia won Group A instead of Galaxy. At first I assumed this edits were in good faith, however as they keep occurring, despite explicit statements from CONCACAF that Galaxy won (such as this recent press release), I can only assume that this is vandalism. Can editors keep an eye out for this? Or if anyone can explain WHY this edits are being done, please say something here rather than editing the pages.
