Decision problem[edit]

We need to talk about the word Decision. It makes no sense. I know what that word means (and I know your trying to reduce space and for the win loss or OT loss). That's like if you put Decision in every MLB season in every game instead of Winning/Losing pitcher (that is for the team's pitcher). I suggest that you put separate sections For Winning Goalie and Losing Goalie (That includes OT loses). So that way we can see who was the Winning Goaltender and who was the Losing Goaltender (I know it takes up Space). It would be better. And tell others that it is a good idea (only if you say yes). Also if you say yes I won't Vandal this page. What do you think Nurmsook? --24.13.169.19 (talk) 22:36, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Personal opinion is not the threshold for inclusion on Wikipedia, consensus is. Further, to your "tell others that it is a good idea" comment, please see WP:CANVASS. Telling other users what to think or how to vote is against Wikipedia policy. Your entire argument is based on WP:IDONTLIKEIT, an argument that is irrelevant here. Most NHL team season articles use the term "Decision", because contrary to your personal opinion, it does make sense, and that is the reason why the community decided to use that term. As for your MLB arguments, take a look at decision (baseball). This isn't just a term used in ice hockey. Also, your last statement implies that you will vandalize this page if I disagree with you. Do note that any vandalism you implement will be reverted and you will be blocked if you decide to go that route to make you WP:POINT. – Nurmsook! talk... 02:21, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The term decision is common and is a better descriptor than win/loss since it encompasses all three types of results - win, loss and overtime loss. adding one or two more columns makes the table unnecessarily large and adds very little information pertaining to the Canucks. As a team it means little if they lost to Pekka Rinne or defeated Jimmy Howard, what pertains to Vancouver is if Luongo has played in 10 of the last 12 and what his record has been. The use of "decision" is the standard practice across the NHL articles that go into the depth of tracking goaltenders and i don't see any reason to change that for the Canucks.--Mo Rock...Monstrous (leech44) 16:10, 24 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your right both of you. And besides when they win or lose a game (color marks), It's a good idea that we know who was there to decide.--24.13.169.19 (talk) 22:41, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
