Rather disapointing in light of previous works. But still see below this for what we can do

Main issues

The reason why it is an exhibition is not explained in the backround section. Also how are they selected.

The use of restricted engines is not in the background section but is in a section someway below

Bowyer remained the leader for the next four laps with assistance from Earnhardt. How was he of assistance. This goes for other occassions as well where you have written this phrase

Maybe spilt the race into different paragraphs and give a run down of positions at the interval. Sicne you make a big thing of it earlier and harldy any here

Too many sentences begin with On lap... or Also. Also does not start a sentence. Or At the lap is really strange. And so it at lap

Here are the issues I found:

  • "but Bowyer, who started seventh on the grid, led the first lap. On the 25th lap, the first caution was given, as Burton became the leader." This is the first mention of both drivers, so use full names and links here.
  • "A total of thirty drivers was eligible" were eligible
  • "In between the segments there was a pit stop that will last ten minutes. During the pitstop teams will be able to change tires, add fuel, and make normal chassis adjustments, but they was not be allowed to change springs, shock absorbers or rear-ends." Fix tense in both sentences.
  • Is Racecar and Race cars normal to be one and two words respectively? I imagine it should be one word in both cases but I could be wrong.
  • "On the 27th lap, the second caution was given because of an accident involving several drivers. The drivers involved in the accident were Earnhardt, Montoya, Smith, Edwards, and Logano." sentences should be combined, i.e. ..because of an accident involving Earnhardt..
  • "both Edwards and Earnhardt was out of the race" were out
  • "but aftrer one lap," after
  • "described his unfortune," his misfortune
  • "That yellow line is there to protect us and the fans in the stands, and I just chose to take the safer route. A win in the Shootout is not worth sending the 39 [Newman] through the grandstands. For me, as fast as we're running, if I got into his left rear, that car will go airborne." cite needed
  • Ref #23 (2010 Official Race Results: Budweiser Shootout) is a deadlink

  • There are a lot of tiny ref issues as well. Namely, work= should be used rather than publisher= in most of these cases. It should be NASCAR instead of Nascar.com, FOX Sports instead of msn.foxsports... and refs need to be consistent; either use Racing-Reference.info or racing-reference.info.
