Julián Leal[edit]

I understand Leal is running with an italian license due to living in Italy, but the flag next to his name should definitely be colombian as he does not hold italian nationality. Furthermore, team Rapax has a flag on each car representing the nationality of the driver. Leal's car features a colombian flag. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Balaban2 (talkcontribs) 00:44, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Leal has entered the GP2 series with an Italian licence at the beginning of the season, so we should list him with the Italian flag. However he changed his license, as you can see on his Profile. Do anybody know the race after that he changed his license? --Gamma127 (talk) 08:11, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Here are two pictures from the very first race of the season. Notice the colombian flag

At the beginning of the season, he was listed as an Italian driver on the homepage and in the TV coverage. He probably changed his license in the middle of the season.
In the first round he started under the Italian flag. As you can see in this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fQdDzu_LaU) video (at 0:55).
In the races, where he started under an Italian license, he had no Italian flag on his car. --Gamma127 (talk) 11:14, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I wrote to the GP2 Series and they answered: Julian’s license was Italian at the start of the season. Since Silverstone, he has a Colombian license. --Gamma127 (talk) 16:44, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The flag should represent nationality, not license expedition. --190.133.6.245 (talk) 15:01, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The latter is easier to prove and define and what's more is considered official by the racing organisation he competes in. It is also easy for Leal himself to change, if he wanted to. --Falcadore (talk) 20:58, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Undue weighting[edit]

A question - why are there 800 words devoted to drivers shifting from one team to another, yet none describing the primary subject the race season itself, morever, what was there before has been deleted? There is a slice of undue weight slipping into the article. --Falcadore (talk) 00:07, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Season finale[edit]

The current state of the driver's table is a bit of a mess, with all the extra additions of drivers for the final race. Is it possible to make two tables, side by side? If so, perhaps a second table for drivers in the final race of the season would clean things up. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 02:58, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would support having an extra table. Or should we move the whole thing into a separate article, seeing as it has little relevance to the main 2011 season? - mspete93 10:44, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
