Top podium finishers[edit]

I was considering adding an additional table showing the top podium finishers throughout the qualifying process. The table would list the top five or ten athletes, male and female, with the highest number of total podium finishes as well as the number of times they've achieved a first, second, or third place finish. Would this be a helpful addition to the article, would it be redundant considering there is already a sortable table feature within the article? BarkeepChat/$ 13:58, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

For the record, I decided against this idea. The information that would've been presented wasn't too informative, at least nothing that couldn't already be discerned from the sortable tables already present. For example, on the men's side, there were 66 different individuals who earned a podium spot, 53 of whom either won only one medal (38) or two medals (15). In total medal count, there was a nine-way tie for 5th place for those with 3 total medals. In short, the table was looking more like a list of names than a helpful medal count.
