Nineteenth British tour[edit]

The introduction to the article states that the 2011 Tour was the "eighth running of the latest incarnation of the Tour of Britain and the nineteenth British tour in total". Where does the 19th figure come from? The Milk Race ran for much longer than this, so I'm interested to know how this was calculated. Cordless Larry (talk) 06:25, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure to be honest. This has crept in from the 2010 article which I based this on to try to keep things fairly consistent. Looking at the main article, that figure could perhaps related to the professional tours but even that seems to be one out. Unless anyone can work this out then it would seem appropriate to remove it. Adambro (talk) 17:52, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply, which has helped me work out what has happened here. The 2009 Tour of Britain article states that that year was the seventieth (70th) tour. Someone obviously misread this as 17th when they wrote that the 2010 Tour of Britain was the 18th. I'll fix these mistakes. Cordless Larry (talk) 22:12, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
