Host's qualification[edit]

I couldn't find an explanation of why Iran should play the tournament in the link mentioned above. At any case, does someone know if this is a similar case of the previous two editions, when Uzbekistan did have to play in the qualifiers? Could someone give a reference for this issues? For some reason, previously referenced material has been removed, there was soemthing like three nations that put themselves forward to host, Irna being one of them. All teams enter qualifiers, and if you qualify, then you cna eb choosen to host. As Iran was the only nation that put their name forward to host and qualified, then they simply defaulted to be hosts - although not yet confirmed by AFC. I think someone like Palestine also hoped to be hosts but hence didn't qualify to be accepted int hat position. Druryfire (talk) 11:18, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the answer. That's and odd system they have... Anyway, could we guess the same thing happened in 2008 and 2010? Ipsumesse (talk) 14:26, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thats generally correct. Druryfire (talk) 17:27, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Group B tie-breaker[edit]

Using the tie-breakers Australia should be first on fair play record. If somebody could confirm that. The AFC currently lists Iraq above Australia. We'll see soon. -Koppapa (talk) 12:37, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Match report http://www.the-afc.com/en/tournaments/men-a-youth/afc-u16-championship/40145-australia-v-iraq says Iraq won penalty shoot out. Druryfire (talk) 12:44, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Could you add that with the reference to the Grpup B because i did not see that here and reverted your edits... Kante4 (talk) 12:55, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info. -Koppapa (talk) 13:03, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
