Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because... "Crystal Ball" is not a valid criteria for a speedy delete. And in any event, the league has been in operation for 40 years, and it does not take a crystal ball to know that it will have a 2014-15 season. League business is often a season or two ahead of the current season, and an article is required so that such information can be included on Wikipedia. --Dolovis (talk) 17:14, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you read through the first point of WP:CRYSTAL, it states: "If preparation for the event is not already in progress, speculation about it must be well documented." There is no speculation available for the 2014–15 season, and nobody has been talking about this season either. For now, the season is too far ahead in time to be worthy of an article due to said concerns. You may start an article for the 2013–14 NHL season if you want to, but I think it would be redirected. I am, however, perfectly fine with your compromise. Best regards,
