Talk:2014 Ironman 70.3 World Championship

Qualification results

It has never discussed that results for Ironman and Ironman 70.3 qualifying results need to be included. When the articles were started in 2008/2009 the number of events was a much more editor friendly ~35. There are now 60+ event results in the 70.3 series that would need to be listed. I feel that they are unnecessary since the number of events has increased greatly and because the level of pro talent at each event is diluted. Since the inception of the Ironman and Ironman 70.3 articles I have been almost the sole editor in adding the results. Due to the massive amount of time it takes to include them, keep them updated and referenced within my already busy schedule I have chosen not to include them. If someone feels the need to include them please feel free, until then I do not feel there is any need for the {{Update|date=May 2024}} template. Perhaps a more appropriate solution would be to list the final point standings at the end of the series to see who qualified for the championship since a top three finish at a qualifying race is not an automatic qualifier and may be irrelevant in some cases.
