Team name of Arsenal-Kyiv[edit]

English references to the Second League standings team refer to the team as Arsenal Kyiv. These include Scoresway and RSSSF. The team FC Arsenal Kyiv and FC Arsenal-Kyiv are the same team and WP:COMMONNAME is be used. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 00:41, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect. The Admins closed the discussion indicating that Arsenal Kyiv and Arsenal-Kyiv are the same team.Brudder Andrusha (talk) 13:30, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
They are different teams. From Talk:FC Arsenal Kyiv: The result of the move request was: Closed and not moved. This is a nonsensical RM and as such I have closed it. It is very clear from the evidence below that the club have not changed their name. Please do not submit this again, it will be regarded as disruptive. 46.200.31.84 (talk) 11:33, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This is not disruptive - but challenging the edits in this article. If they have not changed the team then the reference and the name for the team is wrong. The name used is Arsenal Kyiv - Continuation of team previously played. English references provided. FC Arsenal Kyiv Brudder Andrusha (talk) 14:51, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Team name reference used in Article is inconsistent[edit]

The inconsistent reference used refers to the team in four different references to the team (which is not from an independent source):

  • Logo: FC Arsenal Kyiv
  • Banner: FC Arsenal
  • Title: FC "Arsenal-Kyiv"
  • Lead Sentence in Article: "Arsenal" Kyiv

The reference is inconsistent with regard to giving to what is the name of the team that has entered the Second League. English references as provided in the article from Scoresway give the team as Arsenal Kyiv. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 14:51, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What you refer to as the Official Site - That is the club site which as a non-independent reference for this article is inconsistent and contradictory with its own team name.
  • Logo: ФК Арсенал Киев which is translated as FC Arsenal Kyiv with the team founded in 1925. Notice there is no dash between Arsenal and Kyiv. Clearly this ties the club with all former variations in its past history.
  • Banner: Футбольный клуб Арсенал which is translated as Football Club Arsenal . Notice carefully again there is no dash and no mention of the city Kyiv.
  • Title: «Арсенал-Киев» which is translated as "Arsenal-Kyiv" but without the FC or Football Club.

With regard to your second reference, which is from the Professional Football League that administers the competition which this article is about again you are wrong and incomplete in pointing out what the team's name is. Take a look closer and you will see that the team in the standings is "Арсенал-Київ" Київ which translates to "Arsenal-Kyiv" Kyiv with the city appended to the team name. That is not consistent with the manner teams are displayed in the League Standings in this article. So thank you for proving my point that the team's name currently used in the article does not match the references you provided. Brudder Andrusha (talk) 23:28, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
