Formatting in Game Log[edit]

@Go Phightins!, Tyrol5, and Donnowin1: and any others:
As we have just begun another season and have already begun filling in the game log, I'm looking for consensus in a couple of areas:
(a) Do we want to use the full name or last name of the pitchers of record (i.e. Cole Hamels or Hamels)?

Since this is the current season, we are very familiar with pitchers by last name only. As I'm working backward in the game logs (just finished 1973 the other day), I'm using the first and last names because many of us don't recognize pitchers by last name only.

(b) Do we want to use "None" or "–" to indicate that there was not any save in the game?

My preference is using the word "None."

(c) Do we want the attendance linked to the stadium?

I have no preference here.

As far as I'm concerned, other teams can format their game logs any way they wish. How do we want to format the log for the 2015 Philadelphia Phillies season? Bob305 (talk) 19:39, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

When I'm working on a game log, (a) I just list the last name, linking to the pitcher's article for those wanting a bit more information (b) use a "—" for brevity and simplicity and (c) don't usually link to the stadium b/c this is implicit and easily accessible information, but I'm not at all opposed to it. As a general rule, I follow what's been done previously by others in the game log on the same article. My tendencies reflect what I perceive to be common practices. But I'm not strongly opinionated on the matter. Tyrol5 [Talk] 16:15, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have no strong opinions ... whatever you guys decide works for me. Go Phightins! 22:11, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
