Pan-Am Games[edit]

WHy wouldn't the ffirst two enter those. They don't clash with the Olympics. Was it always the case that the best teams don't enter? -Koppapa (talk) 06:42, 30 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

CONMEBOL decided that positions 3-6 would advance to the Pan Am Games. The reasoning is unknown, as that was not written into the regulations. — Jkudlick tcs 00:09, 31 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Also, the previous CONMEBOL entrants to the Pan American Games came from their U-17 tournament. As this was the first time the U-20 tournament produced teams for the Pan American Games, I can only presume that CONMEBOL decided that for all four of the top teams to compete at the U-20 World Cup, then only a few weeks later in the Pan American Games was asking too much. — Jkudlick tcs 00:15, 31 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
