Representative Honours[edit]

Why do you not want the Kiwis tour listed? How do you justify matches like City/Country and the Pacific tests but not think being represented to play for the Kiwis is worthy of a mention? Mattlore (talk) 2:39 pm, 9 January 2015, Friday (9 months, 4 days ago) (UTC+9)

Embedded links within articles[edit]

Links to third party websites should not be embedded within articles per WP:CS#Avoid embedded links: "Embedded links should never be used to place external links in the content of an article". Match results need to be supported by reliable sources per WP:V, but these links should not be embedded within the article because of problems with link rot. The citations can be formatted another way if desired; I just followed the style being used for the other citations per WP:CITEVAR. For what it's worth, removing embedded links from articles is pretty standard and considered to be a non-controversial improvement, but this can be verified by asking at WP:ELN if necessary. - Marchjuly (talk) 08:23, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That is correct. - MrX 12:24, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

MOS:ALLCAPS[edit]

Per MOS:ALLCAPS, titles of website articles, etc. being cited as sources for Wikipedia articles generally should not be written in all capital letters, even if the source uses all caps; Sentence-style capitalization is the style preferred on WIkipedia. -- Marchjuly (talk) 09:16, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Using cite web templates[edit]

Per Template:Cite web#Authors, the |last= and |first= parameters are for the names of the author of the cited article or source; They are not for the name of the player being discussed as is being done in the "Squad movements" section. If there is no author for a source, then the parameters should simply be left blank or |author= should be used instead like follows: author=<!--Staff writer(s); No by-line-->|. Also, whenever possible the original source should be used if available and not a convenience link like is being done for the source cited for "Lopini Paea"; For example, the original Sydney Morning Herald article found here written by Steve Mascord should be cited instead of the "Zero Tackle" reprint of the article. Many of the citation template parameters in that section have been incorrectly filled in and should be cleaned up according to WP:CITEHOW -- Marchjuly (talk) 14:32, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
