Strange part about WTA Finals??[edit]

The text:

Note that the final two alternates for the 2015 WTA Finals (Venus Williams and Carla Suárez Navarro) are eligible to play in WTA Elite Trophy even if they subsequently participate in the WTA Finals.[1]

seems quite strange, as WTA Finals 2015 event is already over. How can a tennis player also take part in an event after this one, if that event is already over PRIOR to this event? Not clear. Please explain. Naki (talk) 20:26, 2 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe "subsequently" was intended as subsequent to their WTA Elite Trophy qualification which happened before the WTA Finals. It was unclear, especially now that the WTA Finals is over. I have changed it to better fit the situation after the WTA Finals where they didn't play.[1] PrimeHunter (talk) 04:53, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
