incident between ocon and verstappen[edit]

I'm wondering why there are no entries on these talk pages. I wrote here yesterday and for some reason, it appears to be gone mysteriously today. user SSSB reverted me twice on my edit and I believe was a more fair and accurate description of the incident than what was here. He claims that I wasn't accurate. He may be using a technicality as a reason. There were two sources regarding the incident. Both by the same website both posted the same day. I think what may have happened is my description doesn't exactly match the description on the first of those sources, but it does match the second one. So technically he might be right got the first one written by an author of the website describes it basically as a little pushing and shoving between two drivers whereas the other one, using language quoted from the F1 steward's decision describes it as "pushed and hit Ocon forcefully several times in the chest" and "actions that were deemed inappropriate for a sportsman" then fining him with 2 days community service. Then of course that description matches exactly what you see on the video. I fixed the problem by removing the First Source. They both describe the same incident but the second one is the one that uses the quotes from the decision. It quotes their conclusion. Several of those shoves were in fact blows to the chest. Why is this important? Because this is not NASCAR. When I saw it happen I looked back to try to find a similar incident. You have to go back to the 80s and 90s to find anything like it. Also, I found that the reference to the incident was placed right in the middle of the description of the race. So I moved it to its own paragraph and did a minor rewrite on the race itself so that it would flow better. Jackhammer111 (talk) 23:43, 16 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Page history shows you didn't write here yesterday (no-one can remove entries from that).

A source which supported what you said is all I asked. It's there now, so I'm quite happy to leave it there. But for the reasons of neutrality, we need to mention that some sources accuse Ocon of pushing back.

Also, please read the source carefully and fully next time, it didn't happen in Ocon's garage. SSSB (talk) 09:44, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Start of the race[edit]

Lewis Hamilton led the first 18 laps of the race but the way it was written has made it seem like Max led until the collision with Ocon. It would also be nice to know if Max got the lead because Lewis pitted or because he overtook Lewis. (Fran Bosh (talk) 21:20, 29 July 2022 (UTC))[reply]
