Firearm Manufacturer - Remove for Sensationalism

There's no reason to name the manufacturer of the firearm other than to assist in bringing scorn down upon them for someone else's actions. It just adds to sensationalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.95.56.66 (talk) 17:49, 13 September 2019 (UTC)

Psychiatric drugs?

Do any news articles about this mention psychiatric drugs? Michael Ten (talk) 07:21, 4 September 2020 (UTC)

"Leftist antifa sympathizer" language - Remove for Sensationalism

Is the entire section about the shooter political memes relevant to mention here? Seems ridiculous that the article doesn't name the gun because of "poor gun manufacturer!", but gives completely irrelevant facts about him sharing bernie sanders memes. In the same section, it's called out that the shooter had no political motives and the act itself had nothing to do with politics, so I'm unsure why this article is parroting such sensationalist language and/or devoting so much space to it. Might as well also correlate and point out the shooter's favorite sandwich. Would like to remove this garbo. - 73.109.235.174 (talk) 09:01, 5 May 2021 (UTC)

No put the information back. Perhaps the original text may have phrased it in a way that was biased but the information is most definitely relevant and the fact that "a preliminary investigation" did not find any indication of political motive is a bit absurd given that Connor Betts' social media was public and contained public posts of him implying that he wanted political violence to happen. It should be noted somewhere that it has been speculated that the desire to take part in a revolution as well as his previous calls for political violence to occur could have influenced him. This does not need to be its own dedicated section, but it's shocking that there is no mention of it given that it has been confirmed by many secondary sources such as Snopes and Heavy. [1] Note here the explicit call to violence. 73.48.231.153 (talk) 20:17, 16 May 2021 (UTC)

Shooting his sister at a mall has no apparent political connection, and he didn't leave a manifesto or anything else about such a motive. - 73.109.235.174 (talk) 23:08, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
