Hamilton pre-race penalty position[edit]

Where should this be put in the article? Mentioning that Hamilton was cleared of wrongdoing and then given a penalty pre-race on race day does not seem to fit in the post-qualifying section. However I feel as if we'd be leaving out some information if we just left it as Hamilton being cleared in the post-qualifying section and then mentioning that he was given a penalty for the incident in the pre-race section. It can be lumped together in either the post-qualifying or pre-race section. Since the actual penalty was given on Sunday it may make more sense to discuss everything regarding the penalty in the pre-race section. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 21:53, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it works in the pre-race section. He recieved the penalty for an infraction that happened during qualifying, so it should be in the qualifying section. The fact the penalty wasn't applied until the following morning isn't relevant.

If he recived the penalty for an infraction during his race prep then it should be in pre-race, but the infraction happened in quali so it doesn't make sense to mention it outside of the quali section.
