Schedule colors[edit]

Since daytime is now spilt should we apply the colors with other schedules so we can stay constant with the colors on all schedules? Since morning and afternoon schedules are not aligned with and slightly with late night Hoopstercat (talk) 23:13, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Leave the schedule colors the way they are to keep them consistent with past daytime schedules. And check the talk pages on overnight and afternoon. Thematrix92498 (talk) 18:07, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My opinion is at this point we just need to match the colors to the same as primetime schedule since it’s the main schedule since they all represent 1 full day schedule Hoopstercat (talk) 13:00, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

3rd Hour and H&J[edit]

OK, let's settle this:

Should Third Hour and Hoda and Jenna be classified as news shows or talk shows.

Put me down for talk.

Vjmlhds (talk) 18:45, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Put me down for news. Today show is news, GMA is news. Programs that are extensions of those are also news. Thematrix92498 (talk) 20:09, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well I knew that would happen. The trick is to get fresh eyeballs to take a look-see and break the stalemate. Vjmlhds (talk) 20:21, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I’m not going to revert the current edit on the schedule, but we need to take other editors' opinions into account. Waiting one hour isn't problem solved. Others will comment. And Hoopstercat actually suggested Today Third Hour, the same thing as GMA3, remain the way it was. Thematrix92498 (talk) 22:40, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I thought this discussion was sealed a few years ago. There was an agreement at the time that, as Thematrix92498 said, since those shows are extensions of the original show (Today and GMA) they should be branded under the same block (news). This was due to when Today stopped having the 4-hour block and switched its two last hours into new brandings. I know that H&J would look more like a talk show but if it's still branded under the same block it should go as mentioned before. — MrE (talk) 01:59, 27 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Read this ‘https://abc.com/shows/gma3-what-you-need-to-know/about-the-show’ it’s a news and life style program for GMA 3 so Today extensions would also qualify but however today 3 rd hour can fit in either category but H&J is a Tall show/comedy according to its Wikipedia article Hoopstercat (talk) 22:04, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Let's compromise and split the difference - 3rd Hour as news...OK. But Hoda and Jenna really is just a talk show. Remember it started as Hoda and Kathie Lee, and it was modeled after KL Gifford's old show Regis and Kathie Lee (which of course now is known as Kelly and Ryan). Vjmlhds (talk) 01:40, 27 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I want to just briefly clarify why I am against H&J being labeled as a talk show. I don’t disagree that it follows the exact same format as Kelly & Ryan as well as other talk shows. The Wikipedia article even mentions H&J is virtually a talk show in setup. My issue is that the descriptions for the program on television and on TV schedules classifies it as a news program. The networks feed those descriptions to the stations, so it shouldn’t differ based on cable provider or affiliate. I don’t believe we should be differing from what the networks are describing, but I understand Wikipedia’s classification comes into conflict with that. Something wrong here...[edit]

So today, I found an error on the Saturday section: someone put a strange lineup of Disney shows on the ABC table! Try to do your best to get that out of the way, because Litton's Weekend Adventure is still on the air. 2603:9000:780B:7D69:7040:9AC5:1DF8:AC22 (talk) 04:48, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Here is what is going on someone changed all the schedules to make it likely to an affiliate schedule since it was spread across all schedules even late night and overnight and I am real certain that it is an affiliate schedule and this is made for network programming only Hoopstercat (talk) 00:27, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sunday Programming Discrepancies[edit]

I figured out what was up with the Sunday morning schedule - some news programs air live at 10am in New York and then are broadcast live to the rest of the country at 9am (due to time zone differences). So yes, the 7am and 9am airtimes are correct for ABC and NBC. It's odd that this rule doesn't apply to CBS programs. Everything is correct now. Page Protection[edit]

Do you guys think we should have a lock to where only authorized users can edit this? Since we had someone with a random IP address just made 40 or so edits and it took a long time to revert? Hoopstercat (talk) 18:40, 18 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
