Wins Record[edit]

As the Bruins have four shootout wins this year, their actual win total stands at 60, tying the 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens, who didn't have the benefit of getting to play past overtime to win games by shootout. With one game left to play, the most the Bruins can get is 61, one shy of the all-time record of 62, set by the 1995-96 Detroit Red Wings, and not by the 2018-19 Tampa Bay Lightning, who really won 57 games, as five of their 62 wins were shootout wins.NHLfancier (talk) 00:17, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You can stop with the mental gymnastics, the league makes no historical distinction between the types of wins that a team earns during a season. The only thing the league uses is total wins as you can see here [1]. This is something that you should move on from because it won't go anywhere. Deadman137 (talk) 00:52, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Settle yourself down. I have no intention of adding my valid point to the article, because I know that contrarians like yourself will revert it. That is why I was expecting your response. With respect to what the league recognizes, that's immaterial. Readers of this article are intelligent enough to look at each team's regular-season record and see that Boston's win total from this season and Tampa Bay's win total from four seasons ago are nuanced.NHLfancier (talk) 01:12, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Then why make a comment at all? Your contribution to this talk page was meaningless; Wikipedia isn't a forum for debate. Mushh94 (talk) 02:11, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
News flash, the NHL stopped adding ties back in the 90’s. Ties technically counted as a point, which you can factor OT losses into account now.
You have a problem with the points system today? Blame the NHL not us. A record is a record. 2601:193:8201:7140:85B9:E841:6F30:A19B (talk) 03:19, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Listen you three contrarian misfits, at least have the balls to admit you're shameless Bruins fans. Until you do, you're just pathetic. Oh, have I bruised your fragile egos? Going to ban me from editing? Go right ahead. Doing so will simply show you're everything that's wrong with Wikipedia. So, so long fucktards.NHLfancier (talk) 10:54, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I could generally careless what the Bruins do or don't do, but because I cover what happens in the league and because the Bruins are one of the 32 teams in the league I will cover them from time to time. I wouldn't give you the satisfaction of blocking you as you've done nothing of note so far. As this is a conversation about nothing useful it is time for everyone to move on to something constructive. Deadman137 (talk) 15:15, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
