Neutrality[edit]

I am afraid, this article is polluted with the author's opinions.

  • The source, https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2022/01/05/slec-j05.html does not mention the Yahapalana Government or the Easter attack.
  • "the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic as the main factors for the abysmal economic performance": abysmal, MOS:WTW.
  • "The experts opined that such political crisis was on the cards since 2021 especially with the growing concerns over weakening economic performance due to dwindling of foreign reserves.": uncited, hence sounds like POV. Also WP:WEASEL
  • "The slogans #GoHomeGota, #GoHomeRajapakshas, #KaputasGoHome were repeatedly uttered by the protestors which many call it as a step to revolution.": These are not slogans, but hashtags. Add a citation.
  • "Gotabaya Rajapaksa has been accused of misusing his Executive Presidency which he inherited when the parliament passed the Twentieth Amendment to the Constitution of Sri Lanka in October 2020 with a 2/3rd majority.": Add a citation.
  • Section "Background": 2019–present Sri Lankan economic crisis#Background clearly states the problems that existed before the election. The omission of such facts is blatant POV.
  • "The year 2021 marked the plummeting of the popularity of the Gotabaya Rajapaksa led government which gained widespread opposition from various stakeholders due to the inability and incompetence of the government when implementing policy framework": Wording is nauseously unencyclopedic.
  • is eastasiaforum.org a reliable source?
  • "The government was criticized for its failure in handling the second and third waves of the pandemic which resulted in huge surge in deaths.": Continued uncited POV.
  • How on earth organic fertilizer ban cause milk powder queues?

I've removed some of the unsourced quotes.--Fontaine347 (talk) 17:24, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Dudes, I mean come on! Isn't it pretty clear that the political crisis completely BECAUSE OF THE RAJAPAKSHAS? I mean, tell me ONE THING for which RAJAPAKSHAS aren't to blame. I believe, after reading the article COMPLETELY that it is truely NEUTRAL it is going to suggest to the reader that Rajapakshas are the wrong side but that is probably because he is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vedant0407 (talkcontribs) 13:34, 10 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We aren't supposed to use loaded wording. We have to be objective. Firestar464 (talk) 10:16, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
