Homologation[edit]

Please stop removing the Camaro from the "team changes" section and adding it to the "Gen3" section. It represents a team change more than a Gen3 change because the Gen3 regulations were not written for the Camaro. By removing it from the "team changes" section, you imply that it isn't actually a change at all; after all, the Mustang has already been competing for several years by this point. Furthermore, any car that competes must meet the regulations, so this idea of homologation isn't anything new.

All this is doing is padding out the Gen3 section. It is unnecessary because Gen3 is an update to existing regulations, unlike COTF and Gen2, which were significant overhauls. 1.144.109.5 (talk) 07:42, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Gen3 is not an update to the existing regulations, but a new set of regulations around a control chassis built to different dimensions. The Gen2 cars will not be compatible hence teams will be building new cars from the ground up. It is far more appropriate in the Gen3 section than the Team Changes section. It is a team change first and foremost. Furthermore, you are introducing a change in the teams and drivers table, but you are not actually explaining it for several further sections.
This is the way that it has usually been done. Not just in Supercars, but in motorsports articles in general. You need to get a consensus before you make a change. 1.144.104.111 (talk) 10:18, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Gen 3 now delayed, where to with the Team & Drivers column[edit]

Hey guys,

With Gen 3 now delayed until August, how should the Team & Drivers column be done? Should it have both Gen 2 and Gen 3 manufacturers in the same column, but with Chevrolet on top of Holden (with a footnote why) or have Gen2 and Gen3 in their separate column.

I would like to hear your ideas! Hiflex480 (talk) 03:32, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Drivers[edit]

A driver change appears to have been missed https://www.speedcafe.com/2021/10/05/tickford-msr-set-for-shock-2022-driver-swap/?fbclid=IwAR3bfsNgzBccKGGWW7pUHJF0EpggDzPAPTb9RPhYM9kQXkxIWegROOYUfkU — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ra9=wl9 (talkcontribs) 09:04, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It was rumoured, until today. Hiflex480 (talk) 06:06, 11 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
