This default for the search string "242" seems a bit trivial doesn't it? I was searching, of course, for UN resolution 242. How does one go about changing the default?

You don't change the default. If you have a look at Wikipedia:Naming conventions, you'll see that article names simply consisting of digits are reserved for the years. You'll findn other meanings at 242 (number) or 242 (disambiguation) (for the UN resolution, you'll find it at UN Resolution 242). /Ludde23 Talk Contrib 15:29, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Patriarch of Constantinople[edit]

It seems odd and anachronistic to refer to Eugenius I and Titus as patriarchs of Constantinople, given that the city was not yet called Constantinople and Constantine wasn't even born yet in 242. This sent me on a confused search today, until I found on Wikipedia's page "List of ecumenical patriarchs of Constantinople" that the title was Bishop of Byzantium until 330, which makes a great deal more sense. I understand linking to the same page that is currently linked, but should the text say Bishop of Byzantium instead? Or is it a convention on Wikipedia to use current titles rather than historical ones? Silver-grasp (talk) 15:50, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
